That all depends on what your requirements are; do you want to do it all yourself or do you want ION to help? I don’t have an email list, can you help me?
Yes we can help! Start to build up your own list using our software and gathering opt-in email addresses online. We do not however broker data as we support opt-in email marketing only; Please read our anti-spam policy.

I have a list already, can I use it with your system?
Yes, simply save it as a .csv file then locate it and upload into your system.

We have a corporate content management system which holds all our database, can it be automatically updated with email marketing records?
Subscribe works with XML files so can talk to most databases with great ease, taking the most up-to-date information to use for targeting/personalisation and then updating it again with post send results and activity.

How do I know if my list is clean or not? I don’t want to pay extra for sending to dead email addresses…
Subscribe has a list cleansing process which requires 4 simple clicks and you can use this to get rid of your hard bounces before you send to the list, or to clean out any soft bounces after you have sent a some email shots.

How can I be sure my data is going to be safe and secure?
Subscribe can only be accessed by a username and password, which you can monitor and change as often as you want. ION’s data protection policy and end user licence agreement also clearly states that we will never use or take any company data for personal use or for reselling data. To demonstrate that extra promise of security to our customers, we do not broker data of any kind and would never have any use for it.

We don’t have any HTML knowledge inhouse, how can we create a template?
Just ask us! Subscribe comes with its own built in template builder which will let you upload the images you want to use, insert tables, links and text areas as you wish. Alternatively, we have designers in-house who would be delighted to work with you to perfect your marketing message and create you.

I have my own templates, can I use them?
Of course you can! Simply upload them either by zip file or by simple html insertion

What if my email template looks like SPAM?
We have consultants in-house who can help you to work through your email template ensuring it is W3C compliant and will have optimal impact value. Subscribe also has an in-built spam checker which will give your email a spam score and tell you before you send it exactly how your email rates!

Yes, simply insert your data variable into your html and subscribe will do the rest.

How can you guarantee that my emails will get delivered to the inbox?
We cant; but if you use an opt-in list and have created an email that has been optimised in the right way, we can get you better results than anyone else! While some promise to have special relationships with leading ISP’s, it is common knowledge that anyone can get whitelisted status with the big boys… Subscribe though, comes with a mailing engine under the bonnet that has been hand written in-house specifically for the purpose of bulk mailing. It sends emails politely to ensure the large domains don’t get offended at the first step and will get them out as fast as the remote mail servers will accept them… lets not forget, even if you are whitelisted, you can still get reported for spamming and have your emails blocked.

What is whitelisting?
Whitelisting is basically telling the large ISP’s that you are a legitimate, you have a large database of customers and that you want to start contacting hem by email; by informing the ISP’s of the domain which you are going to be sending emails from, they know to expect large volumes of mail and that it is not unsolicited.

It is very simple; all of the large domains have the relevant forms online and we can simply help you with the right details and do all the work for you.
