Top ION Programmer becomes Zombie extra in new movie(30th October 2007)
Neil Rankin, an ION software developer, has recently filled his lifelong ambition of starring as a zombie! The film, better known as “Battle of the Bone,” will be the first martial arts horror film set in Belfast. Filming has already begun on this local production about the troubles in Northern Ireland, however, the story takes an unexpected twist when the two sides of the divide have to join forces to defend the people of Northern Ireland against a zombie invasion, this is where our Neil comes in!
Neil states, “I have always appreciated a good zombie film and therefore was intrigued when I heard one was being produced in Belfast. I got in contact with the director to see if I could take part and this led to my zombie audition. I got the part and am about to begin filming every weekend; I am eager to get the acting underway and excited about being turned into a zombie! ‘Battle of the Bone’ should be on the big screen during Summer 2008.”
